We stayed in the Sunrise Suite. As beautiful as the pictures. Such a peaceful place. Shawn was amazing. Shawn’s beautiful home is welcoming and beautiful. It has been designed to highlight the most beautiful waterfront views from almost everywhere in the house. All 4 generations of our family were on this trip. Everyone found spots to be cozy and recharge and still be together. Shawn has thoughtfully anticipated what her guests may want and need, and she provides it. Floats for the water, a hot tub, rockers, a tree swing, a bench swing, comfy blankets, books, magazines, a fully stocked kitchen, fabulous bedding, outdoor lighting, and binoculars to observe the watermen checking their crab pots in the bay are all provided by Shawn. The cottage was in a perfect location for my sisters and I to stay for our "sisters weekend" escape. The setting is beautiful and so relaxing. There was plenty of room for us and everything was clean and tidy. We took advantage of the kayaks during the day and had a wonderful fire with s'mores in the evening looking out over the water. We were the first ones to use the Cottage following the kitchen remodel. The new open floor plan is very attractive with beautiful views of the creak and Chesapeake Bay throughout most of the house. My wife is a chef so we cook most of our meals and the new kitchen was quite workable for all dishes great and small. Shawn was attentive as needed and even furnished us with pictures of the culinary equipment there, so we knew exactly what to bring.
The area is quaint and quiet but there are lots of quality restaurants nearby, and Annapolis is a only short drive away. The Cottage feels like the perfect place to stay and write the great American novel or compose a symphony. Keith Shippensburg, PA, April 2025

This air b&b is in a beautiful setting with plenty to do (kayaking, hot tub, fire pits, bird watching, etc). It's also very centrally located so we could easily get to more populated areas in no time. The most stunning part of the house is the master suite in my opinion which is on the upper level (the upper level is shared with another apartment, but you don't really hear the air b&b tenants of this suite and it's completely separate with a separate entrance). Stunning views from both the master bedroom and the bath tub in the master suite! The downstairs is also quite lovely with two regular bedrooms, one small bedroom, and a sun room that has a pull out couch (we didn't use it). It's a lovely house to entertain in. It has personal photographs to the owner downstairs that speak to the family's history. The owner is communicative. The overall experience was quite lovely. We'd be happy to return. The sunrise views were really quite amazing! The grounds and creek are very nice, but since we visited in winter we just appreciated the huge windows and the bright, cozy, well-stocked, comfortable room. This is the perfect place for an indoor vacation with a gorgeous view. The home has everything one could need and the photos do not do the panoramic window view justice. Our group had such a lovely time at Shawn's home! The space itself was spacious and absolutely beautiful, even in the dead of winter. Phenomenal Christmas family celebration @ this beautiful home. It was pure delight and excitement upon our arrival. My family truly enjoyed that warm cozy feeling of the fireplace and the ambiance of this lovely home. The beautiful view of the water and the tranquility of outdoors is breath-taking. My grandchildren adored the idea of walking around the property and hunting for twigs and nature treats. It was such a relaxing atmosphere, especially the upper bedroom suite became a sacred haven for the ladies of the family. We were able to create a small gathering to share and reflect on the year 2024 in the private cozy bedroom that is sooo spacious and inviting.
Shawn has provided a wonderful Chesapeake paradise filled with the feeling of family love and tranquility. She has sooo many amenities in the kitchen for you to cook and host small gatherings. I am a solo female traveler that needed a calm peaceful setting. I was so lucky that I found Shawn’s healing and Serene Oasis by the Chesapeake Bay. The entire apartment was beautifully decorated and spotless. The beds were luxurious and very comfortable. Shawn is a very attentive host. She answered all of my questions and was very helpful. I was there for rest and relaxation and she provided exactly that.
The views from the bedroom and deck were spectacular. The home is situated in a private peaceful Cove that empties into the Chesapeake Bay. Anyone that needs to decompress should visit Shawn‘s home. Her entire property has an aura of healing energy. I felt pure joy upon arriving and leaving this property. We had an incredible stay at Shawn’s Chesapeake Paradise. The location is gorgeous and the house is beautiful. It was a wonderful place to relax and visit with family - we had grandparents as well as young children. Shawn has endless amenities - crab pots, Cornhole, tree swing, pack n play, high chair - really anything you might want or need she probably has or will find for you! We enjoyed relaxing mornings and evenings soaking up the beautiful scenery at the house, but it was close enough to take day trips to Annapolis, Baltimore and DC. The kitchen was FULLY stocked with more dishes and cooking supplies than you could possibly need and Shawn was always very responsive if we had any questions. Our stay at the cottage was wonderful. The house is cute and has everything you could need. The water is from a well, but was much better than other well water I’ve experienced - I didn’t notice any smell! The surroundings and amenities are the best. The bay is beautiful and Shawn offers plenty of ways to experience it (kayaks, floaties, swimming or just sitting on the pier). We had a wonderful girls' weekend at Shawn's beautiful home. The house is RIGHT on the water and offers gorgeous views and wonderful outdoor activities. My family rented Shawns home for a family reunion, and we just loved it. We appreciated all of the bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as the many private spaces around the property for smaller groups to hang out. We loved the views, the kayaks, the Osprey nest, and the peacefulness. The house also had everything we needed from first aid kits to tons of books and plenty of places to sit and hang out.
